    There is a mistaken notion amongst many that without traditional newspapers we would lose critical coverage that costs money such as the oft-mentioned “Baghdad Bureau.”

    The critical coverage of the Iraq War was what occurred in Washington, especially in the lead-up, not in Baghdad. The reason why people mistrust the media is because they failed to ask politicians the types of questions any blogger would have been glad to ask had they been invited to the press conferences? Failures of that magnitude deserve to perish.
